INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

  1. Thoroughly clean the area or surface where the glue will be applied.

  2. Mix components 1 and 2 in equal parts.

  3. Stir the components for 3 minutes until obtaining homogeneous consistency.

  4. Apply the mixture evenly in amounts proportional to the surface to be prepared.

  5. Join the parts to be glued together and secure them if needed for them to remain steady.

  6. Let dry for 30 minutes in the sun or 1 and a half hours in the shade (under roof or in cloudy days). This time may vary according to room temperature. See packaging for more information.

Pegatanke PVC-CPVC Ultra is a glue designed to firmly join PVC (cold water) and CPVC (hot water) pipes quickly and easily, offering a longer useful life to the connections of this type of material, being functional in pieces dry or totally submerged in water.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

  1. Clean the PVC or CPVC pipe or connection, removing excess material from the edges or surface (chips and/or dust).

  2. Use the applicator to evenly distribute a coat of PVC-CPVC Ultra glue on the outer end of the pipe and another coat on the inner end of the fitting.

  3. Insert the tube into the fitting with a twisting motion while the glue is wet until it snaps.

  4. Hold the union down for 10 seconds on the pipe.

  5. To use underwater, apply PVC-CPVC Ultra glue to the joint outside of the water, submerge the part and insert the tube into the connection with a twisting motion.

Frequent questions

What is the proper way to mix the components of PEGATANKE® epoxy?

In the case of PEGATANKE®, PEGATANKE® White and PEGATANKE® Steel, you must mix the contents of containers 1 and 2 in equal parts and stir for 3 minutes until a homogeneous mixture is achieved. In the case of PEGATANKE® Transparent, you must mix in equal parts and stir for 30 seconds. It is important to respect these proportions and times to obtain optimal results.

How long does it take before the PEGATANKE® epoxy mix dries?

This time may vary according to the ambient temperature. In a warmer environment (from 25º C to 40º C) it will harden more quickly. It also varies depending on the amount of product used. The greater the amount of product used, the faster the mixture hardens.

When using PEGATANKE®, can you touch it with your hands and then wash them? Is it removable from the skin?

We always suggest handling the product with the use of gloves and the appropriate elements for both its mixture and its application. We do not recommend mixing with bare hands.

If a pet consumes the PEGATANKE® mixture, what to do?

If a pet ingests the product, it should go immediately to a veterinary center. The important thing is to act quickly, orderly and balanced, without falling into despair. The professional supervision of a veterinarian is essential in these cases.

Can PEGATANKE® epoxy mix once cured, conduct electricity?

Once cured, PEGATANKE® epoxy is an insulating or non-conductive dielectric glue, ideal for repairs to electrical infrastructure and wiring.

Do gasoline or other solvents cause damage to PEGATANKE® epoxy products?

Once cured, PEGATANKE® epoxy products (mixing component 1 and 2 following package instructions) are impervious to gasoline and any other solvent. Your end result is a strong, firm finish that won't dissolve or corrode.

Does the PEGATANKE® epoxy mixture work effectively if it is applied in some place maintaining contact with water?

PEGATANKE® epoxy can seal pipes, tanks and water filters internally and externally without problems. It is totally waterproof and is not affected when it is exposed to humidity or when it comes into contact with water and other liquids.

Can PEGATANKE® epoxy be mixed with stains and/or colorants?

We do not suggest mixing with dyes and/or dyes, it can lead to loss of product qualities. Once dry, the PEGATANKE® epoxy mix can be machined, sanded and painted. As a recommendation, you can try it if it contributes to the aesthetic you are looking for.

Can PEGATANKE® epoxy dry mix be covered by paint?

Yes, once the PEGATANKE® epoxy mix cures, it can be machined, sanded and painted to give it the shape and appearance that best suits the repair or joining of the parts.

How is the conservation in your containers?

PEGATANKE® must be stored in a cool place at a temperature not higher than 20°C, avoid blows, falls, heat, cracks, etc., for its best conservation.

Does PEGATANKE® epoxy shrink or expand when it dries?

No. PEGATANKE® epoxy is a cold weld that does not shrink, expand, corrode or deform when it dries.

Can the PEGATANKE® epoxy mix be applied over another previously applied and dry PEGATANKE® epoxy mix?

What is the expiration date of PEGATANKE® epoxy?

PEGATANKE® epoxy glues can be stored for up to 1 year from their manufacture in their original containers, well covered, in cool and dry places.

In the case of PEGATANKE® Blanca, it can be stored for up to a year and a half from its manufacture in its original containers, tightly covered, in cool, dry places. You can check the expiration date on the packaging.

In the case of PEGATANKE® PVC/CPVC Ultra, they can be stored for up to 3 years from their manufacture.

What liquids is PEGATANKE® impermeable to?

PEGATANKE® epoxy does not allow moisture, corrosion or abrasion to pass through, which means that we can use it in an endless number of cases, since it is impermeable to water, diesel oil, gasoline, antifreeze, hydraulic fluids, oils, grease and other solvents. It's even insulating against transmission fluids and battery acid.
